Ouch

We stopped by a large sunflower field today to see how well the flowers were doing.  It was a beautiful day and the sunflowers were at their peak.  To stand a the edge of the field was to take in a beautiful sight.

I automatically pulled out my blackberry and took this photo.  Without thinking I set up to email the photo to my ex-friend and only after I had the email open did I realize what I was doing.

Shit.

It was such a natural response, to see this beautiful sight and wanting to share it with the person who was to be a life long friend.  I had in that moment, forgotten, that there is no life long friend to send it to. 

I slowly put the blackberry back in my pocket.
